Our Community

It has always been recognised by Lossie Seafoods and Moray Seafoods that seafood is at the heart of the local community, something which we still focus on today.

boosting the local economy

The management team have always been determined to keep our production facility within the traditional fishing community of Buckie. We currently employ over 300 people and the majority of them live in and around Buckie, thus supporting and boosting the local economy.

Developing the Young Workforce

We are aware of the importance of encouraging and informing the next generation to keep these skills alive and we work closely with local primary and secondary schools to teach and inspire young people about the career opportunities available in the seafood sector. We have close links to the Moray Chamber of Commerce and Moray Council, as well as working with national initiatives such as Developing the Young Workforce and Career Ready.

We have a determination to give young people the maximum opportunity to fill new positions and build themselves worthwhile careers in a local business that cares for its people and the local community.
