Developing the Young Workforce

Young Person's Guarantee

YPG is an initiative committed to bringing together employers, business partners, and young people. It aims to connect every 16- to 24-year-old in Scotland to an opportunity which may be a job, apprenticeship, further or higher education, training, or volunteering. It could also be an enterprise opportunity.

Delivering the Young Workforce (DYW) plays a key part in the delivery of the Young Person’s Guarantee.  It is an employer led body whose priority is to make it easier for employers to connect with young people in schools and colleges across Scotland to provide support for young people ready to join the world of work.  Through the DYW, companies can provide inspirational opportunities for young people to help them understand and develop the skills they need to succeed.
