Since the summer of 2024, Associated Seafoods have been working with a multi-stakeholder partnership from the Nephrops fishing industry and supply chain, supported by Seafish. 

Together, we have laid out plans to drive improvements in the management of UK Nephrops fisheries, through the continuation of the Nephrops Fishery Improvement Project (FIP). 

The FIP have applied to the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) Improvement Program and is currently under review with an update on the application expected early this year.
