SMoked Salmon Open Sandwich

Serves 2


  • 100g sliced Scottish salmon
  • 2 slices of rye bread, toasted
  • 50ml half-fat creme fraiche
  • 1 teaspoon fresh dill, chopped
  • half a teaspoom grated horseradish
  • squeeze of lemon juice
  • lettuce leaves
  • tomato, thinly sliced
  • cucumber, thinly sliced
  • black onion seeds
  • salt & freshly ground black pepper


  1. In a small bowl mix he the creme fraiche, horseradish, dill and lemon juice and season to taste with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  2. Spread the mixture onto the toasted rye bread.
  3. Top with lettuce, sliced tomato, sliced cucmber and smoked salmon, and top with black onion seeds.
